GS Lower Fork Brace

1991 R100GS-PD
First computer rendition of TT-202 GS lower fork brace. It evolved from here.
First time using a 3-D print for fit-check and proof of design. Exceeded my expectations!
Bridge & base have an interlocking block to resist loads in all directions
Wrapping the outside of the forks has more resistance to loads than a straight across solid design. It also acts as a guard.
Tire clearance maxed between forks. Open design doesn't clog with mud.
Rev 2 lightened the bridge and thinned out the base connector.
Still uses top-down 6mm screws into block interlock.
It's looking good - but didn't like the open screw wells which catch water and dirt.
Rev-3 is a big change to pegs with 6mm screws up from bottom to lock into base.
Some trimming was done to lose weight. No holes on top to trap water.
Once pegs were located - two more holes to lighten it up. Removed third hole in base.
Rev-4 eliminated holes in base connector gaurd. They were big cost drivers with 4 setups.
Machinist rolls out the first limited number run.
These are the most expensive parts to produce of the TT products.
The first hard part mounted.
Back from powder coater - they look awesome!
The 3-D modeling got it to the finish line.
Looks great on the bike. Nothing like it.
