i found this amazing wasp in my back yard. I have watched her clean dirt from her home and set it nicly in litttle round bals outside her nest. The otherday she flew in and i was alarmed for a moment because she seemed bigger. Once i was able to see that she had some paralyded katydid cargo which she set closeto her hole...went down to? And within seconds returned to pulll the katydid down the hole as her baby food. I have pics but need a site to post pic to for identification. I see pics of similar digger wasps but she has 2 oprominent apparatus that resemble stingers but i know are not. Total lewngth w apparatus 2.6 inches. Can i post a pic for some info on ms wasp? Thanks

I have many ground wasps (sphex ichneumoneus) nesting along my driveway. I would very much welcome any suggestion on how to get rid of them. They are very aggressive and fast. Big and loud.

There are these two bees/wasps sitting out side my apartment one of them is about the size of a 50 cent peice the other is about the size of a quarter....they are red to the front and black and white at the bottom i dont kno wat to do about them...any suggestions

My 2 yr old was just stung on the eyelid by what appears to be a pironyx parkeri (never seen or heard of it until today. By the time I could respond his eye was swolen shut. Bynadryl helped. The wasps were swarming my lawn by the thousands but weren't agressive at all. We didn't notice them because they were concentrated on only one side of the house.

Hi, I'd be very thankful for help identifying what looks like a very small (big mosquito size) Thread Waist wasp, with long "tail", yellow - black stripes on abdomen, upper part of body also yellow/black. Antennae are long, black at beginning and end yellow in middle. legs are brown. Found second one in my house flying making noise....Thank you very much.

ok the one wasp i found is a cicada killer. how do u get rid of them? also hanging out with these are some long skinny black one about the same size that have reddish colored legs. they dont have a rounded bottom just long and skinny. there doesnt seem to be any pictures of these here. my husband killed the two so we could se what they were. the one was eating a cicada at the time. please help the kids are afraid to play outside and also do these bite dogs like flies do?

i have some bees or wasps outside my house they dig really big holes in the ground and they are huge. they are yellow and black as far as i can see cuz im allergic to bees i dont get to close but i dont see a stinger and they dont seem really aggressive. what are they and how can i get rid of them?

I have a large wasp's digging up my patio, they're black and white but has a green head. Any advise as to how to deal with these monsters would be much appreciated.

I think that I have killed a cricket hunter wasp, from all of the pictures that I have looked at that looks exactly like what I have found. Only problem is, most of the web sites I go to say that it is native or around texas, is that a common wasp in Upstate NY? Should I have kept it and sent it in to notify someone? Please let me know. Thanks

We recently ran across a very large type of wasp crawling on our maple tree. It is redish color with three yellow stripes and about an inch and a half stinger on it. Any ideas what kind it is?
