On 7-Oct-2010 77 soldiers from 1st Battalion 158th Aviation Regiment were mobilized and left their families and loved ones behind to support 8th Battalion 229th Aviation Regiment and B Company 1204th Aviation Regiment combat missions of OPERATION NEW DAWN in Iraq.
They answered their country's call.
They carried out their orders proudly and with distinction.
They return home after a year of service to families and friends that have sacrificed in their absence.
We are all very happy to have them back safely with us.
Their courage and heroism will never be forgotten.
