Best birthday pressie ever!
My parents + my sisters got me the entire collection
of Beethoven's Symphonies played by Berlin Philharmonic,
conducted by Herbert von Karajan! Recorded at his peak
circa 60s-early 70s.
Did't cost much but these are pretty hard to find and I'm
so happy I've finally got them. Thanks guys!
Hmmm... many sleepless nights watching these after work.
5/5/09 - Geocaching
Took a ferry to Lamma Island, a touristy place in Hong Kong
popular with people who like seafood. I didn't have any on
the island and went on a short trek from Yung Shue Wan to
Picnic Bay. Walked off track for a bit, passed many old
graves and found the geocache "In Between II" - my first
and probably the only geocache in Hong Kong.
5/5/09 HK
This is a famous Chinese Chiu Chow dish -
Fried omelette with mini oysters
Delicious but a bit fattening...
5/5/09 Hong Kong
Went to the famous Mak's Noodles and had a bowl of the
very famous Won Ton. See
here for info.
Quite delicious!
3 May 2009 - Paid my respects at my grandpa and grandma's grave.
It is a tradition to burn paper money at the grave whenever
relatives go and visit. The belief is that the money will be
"wired" to them by burning. I wonder what my grandparents are
going to buy with billions and billions every year. Perhaps
the inflation is pretty bad over there?
