Canons Ashby has been the family home of the Drydens since Elizabethan times and that family atmosphere remains today. The story of Canons Ashby, which has been little altered since the 19th century, is presented as if it were being seen through the eyes of Sir Henry Dryden, an eminent Victorian. The house is atmospheric and welcoming, while the delightful garden is being returned to its colourful Victorian style. A stroll in the wider parkland offers a glimpse of the earlier medieval history, while the church explores the story of the canons of Canons Ashby.
