Yes, Martha, Brazil will cease to contribute enormously
to world music, dance, culture and political vision
"only when all will be ashes"!
You are quite justifiably proud of the astonishing
musical legacy that Brazil has bequeathed to the world,
a legacy that stretches from the early strains of
Joao Batista Do Vale, through Jobim and Gilberto,
to Bonfa, Nascimento, Gil, Regina, Rodriques, Maria,
Djavan ........... the list is endless!!
But I feel that Brazil's greatest contribution to the
global community is the World Social Forum in
Porto Allegri, which will eventually prove, despite everything,
that "Another World Is Possible"!
The world community is enormously proud of, and grateful for
Brazil's invaluable contribution!
