Spidercolony

Yesterday I was walking through the woods near Zurich and suddenly I saw a lot of cobwebs. After taking a few pictures I got closer and found them alive with tiny little (young?) spiders. As the snow had melted just two or three days ago I was perplexed. Maybe somebody knows, what spiders these are and why they appeared in such a concentration just at the beginning of spring?
Luckily I had taken my Nikon 4500 as a backup for the 8800 with me, hoping for some nice close-ups of flowers. Well, no flowers today, but some other nice close-ups - if you're not afraid of the arachnid family.
