SANCTIONS AFFECT CHILDREN IN IRAQ, BAGHDAD, IRAQ:
Young Muslim mother with baby who is being treated for dehydration at the Saddam Central Hospital in Baghdad. More babies are suffering from diarrhea because the water treatment plant was destroyed in the Gulf War and impure water is being used in baby formulas. The only medicine available in the hospitals of Iraq is glucose, a situation blamed on the UN Sanctions against Iraq.
