Christmas

Our family had been increasingly discouraged by the commercialism of Christmas in the USA. In 1980, we decided that instead of exchanging gifts, we would take our 4 kids and spend Christmas in a different country every year. These are some photos of those trips. I'll be adding more as I find them in my files. There are also photos of Christmas with the grandkids at our farm in South Carolina.

That was a brilliant idea. I bet they remember all those Christmases a lot more than the toys or junk they would have received and would be by now mostly long gone. Great photography. ~BV~
