We were to go deep into the Agusan Marsh. The night before, our agreement with our guide and boat operator was to meet at 4 a.m. so we could still catch the sunrise in the marshland. But the guide came two hours late, and still hadn’t prepared the pumpboat. The boat refused to start until an hour later. While we were keeping our patience by the riverside, this boy just passed in front of us and walked directly to the river and bathed his rooster. We were just at the right place at the right time. I fired six shots. Lesson learned -- photography is 1/3 patience, 1/3 luck, and 1/3 skill.
