No sir, I don't have the kit lens that usually comes with the 300D. I used the 24-70 f2.8L for this, and I'm glad it's weatherproof coz it was raining all the time during Bukidnon's Kaamulan Festival. So I covered the body with a shirt, and exposed the hooded lens to the rain.
