My daughter, Misty Blue, was a member of Kuya Germ's "That's Entertainment - Thursday Group" for several years back in the early 1990's. They were trained by the Bayanihan Dance Troupe for their performances. My problem is that I am having trouble logging on to the official site that comes up in a Google search and we would like to get in touch with them. Do you know any contact information?
yes, teresa, that's the same bayanihan. they were on a tour, and on this shoot they were performing for an audience at the MSU-IIT Gym in Iligan City. Nah,it wasn't a dress rehearsal. I would have loved that, so I can direct their movement a bit. But in this show, I was lucky enough to be right in front of the stage. And using a really fast lens helped somehow with the unpredictable lighting.

Wow, beautiful photographs all! Is this the same troupe as the world-renowned Bayanihan Dance Company named national dance co. of the Philippines? Where were these taken? Were these pics taken during a dress rehearsal or something? The black backdrop makes the colourful costumes and graceful, athletic movements all the more striking. Thanks for posting. Wonder if I can download and print off some pics for my own personal use (screensaver, desktop, etc.)?

I like the way you capture the angles of the dance movement of the dancers Bob, can you also take pictures for my recitals? I want to post great pictures of my dance choreography and dancers in my coming dance studio.
