Passing the Woolwich Ferry
A small ship left Barking Creek just before we reached it
The tidal barrage at the entrance to Barking Creek
Barking Creek - note wharf being rebuilt
Still a few working wharfs on the Creek
Reed beds on the West (Sewage works) side
The barrier at Barking - Only one set of gates so we can only go through when the tide makes a level
Approacing the limit of Navigation
Sunday morning & we wait for the tidal gate to be opened
Approaching the barrage
These Thameside flats are on the site of the old Harland & Woolf shipyard which built working narrowboats in the 1930's
No Woolwich ferry working today
