Wow! were we surprised to find this website. My husband was stationed in Budingen with the 83rd Recon, 3rd Armored Division, Company D, from 1957 to 1958 (50 years ago). We have nothing but fond memories of our stay there. We went back in July, 2007. We walked the streets just as we did 50 years ago. We found the house we lived in and had dinner at the Hotel Stern. We only spent a day there, but want to go back next summer to spend a week. If any of our friends from those days read this, please contact us.
