Freedman's Cemetery

Freedman's Cemetery, located at US 75 & Lemmon Ave. in Dallas, TX, is a site started in the 1860's for the burial of former slaves. Unfortunately this memorial is all that stands because many of the remains were reintered after being covered over by uncaring construction of adjacent roads.

Tim, I was truly moved by this one. I really didn't even know it existed - which is pretty sad n- being a black women living in Dallas. It's a little disappointing to know that this is all remains. Thank you. Excellent.
