I borrowed the new Tamron AF 18-270mm F/3.5-6.3 Di II VC PZD lens from a friend and took a bunch of shots around downtown Rochester, NY today. I have never used "vibration reduction lenses" before, so it was partly to try that feature. However it was a bright sunny day, so I did not have the opportunity to try really slow shutter speeds. The images appear to be as good and maybe a little better than my old Tamron 28-300 lens. The images were shot as RAW files with my Nikon D-80. Processing was minimal.
