Look at the location of the water bottle cage in the first image - impossible to reach unless you are stopped. I carry a Camelback of water in the rack bag and use the bottle cage for a sports drink. I made the bracket out of aluminum plate. The computer is a Cateye wireless model, with the magnet and sensor/transmitter mounted on the front right wheel.
