This is a cool camera and probably the oldest in my collection. The plate on the front says "Pat. May 7 1907." The lens is a Kodak Anastigmat f-7.7 x 170mm. Shutter speeds are: 1, 1/2, 1/5, 1/25, 1/100, B and T. The "Autotime" dial is embossed with the type of scene next to the f-number (very similar to the dials on the newest digital equipment). They are: 4, shadow moving objects; 8, near view portrait; 16, average view; 32, distant view; 64, marine clouds snow. The focusing mechanism moves the bellows in and out. The scale is in meters and feet and appears to be engraved on ivory! The case is wood contruction with a ground glass back for composing the scene (presumably under a cloth). When you want to shoot; you insert a pre-loaded 4x5 wood cartridge (reversible - 2 negatives per cartridge); pull out a metal sheet to reveal the film to the inside of the camera; press the shutter to expose the film; and insert the metal sheet in the cartridge. Now, wasn't that simple!?!
