The Pattern

This is the pattern I made on heavy paper, that I used to trace onto the fun foam sheets to make the bouncer. Fun foam can be purchased at Wal-Mart, Michaels, or just about any craft store. I used the 2mm thick foam, which comes in 9x12 inch sheets, and also in 12x18 inch sheets. I used the non-adhesive type, but you may want to use the adhesive backed type if you do not want to go through the extra work of sewing the sheets together as I did.

I used non-adhesive foam, but added a few small pieces of double faced tape in the corners to keep the foam positioned correctly so I could sew around the perimeter. I also sewed velcro where it needed to go, but you can also purchase the adhesive type instead. (I used the sew on type because I wondered if the adhesive backed velcro would come off after being repeatedly pulled apart).

Trace around a quarter to make the rounded edges. Several versions that I saw on the internet did not have rounded edges, and I believe the rounded edges at the bottom where it folds around the flash, will prevent the foam from tearing there.

other sizes: small medium large original auto
