When we spotted this lion, I was too close to get a full body shot with at 700mm, so settled for some partial shots and headshots rather than risk missing it all by taking time to remove my teleconverter.
Since she was sitting up on top of a mound, nothing in the background was close to her and I was able to create the nice blurred background you see here. Within about 20 seconds she had layed down,
so I probably would have missed the shot if I had stopped to make equipment adjustments.
