I shot this on our first evening in Amboselli National Park. With the sunset approaching, we were looking for an animal to use for a sunset silhouette photo. But there was nothing available and the sun was setting fast, so we settled for this acacia tree.
Not being sure of the proper exposure to bring out the colors, I shot 12 frames at different settings. This was the first frame in the series and it ended up being the best. We had to work fast.
Checking the time stamp on the images revealed it only took a minute and 14 seconds after this photo for the sun to fall completely behind the clouds.
