We were in Denali National Park in Alaska on Sept 11, 2001 when terrorist attacks took place in New York, Washington, and Pennsylvania. It was a very strange feeling setting out for 9 hours inside Denali just after the 1st tower fell, knowing we would be completely out of communication with the world, and not knowing what news would await us when we returned that evening. It was difficult to stay focused and try to enjoy the scenery of Denali after what we had just seen on TV. These photos are scanned from 35mm negatives.
