We started from from my place in Silver Spring, passing
fallen trees, muddy pools, sand piles in the middle of
the road, and numerous marathon runners. We ate wild berries
on the road sides, stopped by a fishy smelling fish market in
DC, sitting by the "Water Gate" near a boat house, watching
those braving the brownish Potamac river water to row, and finally
arrived at the National Mall for the Folk Life Festival this year.
