The science behind microfiber cloths

When people think of cleaning it’s often associated with a dirty old cleaning rag that gets tossed in with the laundry when you’re done and a bucket of different types of cleaning supplies. This has become a bit of a traditional standard and it doesn’t have to be that way.

If given the option of using a microfiber cleaning cloth that is sanitary and does a good job over a cloth that is full of harsh chemicals that may not do the job as well, which one would you pick? The microfiber cloth of course! You don’t have to be a genius to choose the easier and more sensible way to get things done. Let’s look at what makes these microfiber cloths work so well and how exactly they do go about their job.

Is it magic?
No, there isn’t any magic involved, although we have to say any owner of these are pretty lucky to be able to have one around that does such a great job. Tiddox company says that when a person cleans using water which is a pretty great way to go about things, it breaks down the molecules and allows them to be flushed away. Sometimes that’s not enough and that’s where detergents come in. While they can do a great job, for anyone who has sensitive skin, allergies or even young children who are sensitive to these expensive and harsh products it could mean bad news.

What’s the different between that and microfiber?

Microfibers are a lot like the name implies, many small fibers grouped together do the work of say a scrub brush which is many large fibers of nylon and other products. Together these small fibers work together to act as though they are working on a much larger scale.

Why is this better?
Microfibers are known for attaching themselves to particles of dirt, dust and debris. While the exact reason this attraction exists may not be known, the science still remains. So in this microfiber cloth were going to see a bunch of small microfibers doing what they do best, not just scrubbing, but attracting those particles to them which makes it much more effective to clean with. Not only are you being given the power of a bunch of tiny scrub brushes, but you’re also using what is essentially a dirt magnet to draw the filth to the cloth and allow it to lift it up and away.

For this reason, they can’t be cleaned in the same way as you would say that dirty old dish cloth, but they are best to be boiled in a pan you may have lying around. Each microfiber cloth however, does come with a guide on proper cleaning instructions that can guide you through the process of properly disinfecting and cleaning out your microfiber cloth.

These cloths really are innovative and a great way to clean multiple surfaces without the use of any harmful or abrasive chemicals that are also expensive.
