About Millennium Park:
Jay Pritzker Pavilion stands 120-feet at its highest point, with a billowing headdress of brushed stainless steel ribbons that frame the stage opening and connect to an overhead trellis of crisscrossing steel pipes. The trellis supports the sound system, which spans the 4,000 fixed seats, as well as the Great Lawn, which can accommodate an additional 7,000 people.
The concentric arrangement of speakers on the overhead trellis combined with precisely timed digital delays creates the impression that the sound is arriving to all parts of the audience from the stage, rather than the speakers.
