I've been to Elgol twice during my stay at Skye.
On the first time I had a small accident. It had been raining for a while and the rocks were slippery. I set my tripod and camera in place and as I turn back to reach for a ND Grad in my bag, I heard a loud noise. My tripod fell forward shattering the polarizer that was mounted on the lens. I thought I had destroyed my camera but fortunately only the filter was destroyed. Anyway, the light wasn't great.
Knowing that the place had potential (with the Cuillins in the background, and all) I returned the day after. When I left my hotel in Sligachan the sun was shinning and the sky was blue. But by the time I reached Elgol, the sky was grey again and the rain was falling.
So this was the best I could get from that amazing place.
