"[e]ke" = diminutif néerlandais & flamand
Little "bistro" (café)
Bistro/bistrot is popularly but incorrectly believed to be derived from Russian for "Quick/Fast/Hurry" (bystrob).
It is said that Russian soldiers (brief post-Napoleonic occupation of Paris),
having slipped away unauthorized for a quick drink,
demanded service shouting "bystrob".
Here, used with a Dutch/Flemish diminutive ending.
