Sally Mynhardt Australia
This picture was taken on my way south to Nowra.
It is a small farm with a vineyard in the background.
We have had a lot of rain recently so the countryside
is very green.

Lake Illawarra taken at sunset. |
These lovely-looking wild birds are not very popular around here.
They are very noisy and quite destructive to things like
rubber windshield seals and woodwork.
They usually fly around in flocks of 10 or more and
can kick up a terrible screeching din.
Some are kept as pets and can be taught to talk. |
Warilla Beach taken at sunrise.
This is our local beach. |
This picture of a flying White Faced Heron
was taken at Killalea State Park.

Young Kestrel
I was sitting at the base of
Windang Island and I heard
a high pitched call.
I looked up and saw this young Kestrel watching me.
I was very lucky to get this shot. |
This was taken at Windang Island.
These days it is not an island anymore.
It was joined to the mainland in the 1870's
when a railroad was built to remove rocks from the island.
