After Hurricane Michael

Mexico Beach, Florida

This is Mexico Beach, Florida. Mexico Beach is a small beach community just east of Panama City, Florida which was literally in the direct path of Hurricane Michael on October 10, 2018, which carried 13 foot storm surge, and winds maximum sustained of 155 miles per hour, just 1 mph below category 5 strength. The community was devastated. Sherri and I were in the area a week ago, and decided, since roads were cleared and clean-up underway, to see how things were going. I have posted all the images in a gallery on my own site, but will post a couple here. The power of such a storm, and the scleras of damage was, to say the least, astonishing.

How sad to see such destruction.
So sad to think it destroys everything in its path
so violently.
