9-5-2017 Sun through the smoke at 6P

Be sure to view in Original Size

We are having serious fires east of the cascades and
because of some unusual atmospheric conditions the smoke
is mantling the Puget Sound region, even to the point of
ash falling like snow in some places. Its unusual to be
able to shoot the sun directly with no filters.

Many, many thanks, Elaine and Michael. Elaine, this is actually the sun - its so unusual to
be able to photograph the sun without filters in broad daylight.

Dreamlike, colorful and timeless. Very well-done Terry.

Dear Terry,
A bushfire moon in all its glory. Wonderful colours and perfect composition.
We dread the "busfire season" here too.
One of my friends from Colorado is a professional firefighter, so I always have him in my thoughts when there are bushfires in your neck of the woods.

Thank you Hal. We are very safe, in that we are over 100 km west of the fires.

A very striking image Terry.
A shame that it's come with this very worrying situation.
Hope that you stay safe.
