I made this image a few days ago of a female Rufous Hummingbird. I normally
do not like 'feeder' shots, but I felt the brass rod and
hanger worked in this case.
The little spots on her bill are bugs - they make up a large part of their diet.
These are migrant hummingbirds that are only here for a couple of months to breed and raise their young. A real treat for us to see.
