Skykomish Valley, Washington

Sky Valley Twilight

Five hours after sunset its amazing how much distant reflected light still exists in the western horizon. Sunset was just after 6:00 PM and I shot this at about 11:05PM!

The fog was rolling back in over the Skykomish Valley below me after I shot time lapse for about 3 hours looking the opposite direction.

Quite haunting with the light coming up through the fog

Jim,
My laptop hick-upped and posted my comment before I was done, so here goes, again...
As I stated, there are so many interesting features in this excellent landscape image, I love the deep polarized sky with all those stars, the lights shinning through the fog bank, and the yellow lights in the bottom right corner seems too point the way to this fantastic scene...

WOW Jim - this is awesome. The stars is the sky show up so well. And I love seeing the mist in the valley. Very clear for 11pm.
