Wimpy the Iguana

Lake Havasu City, AZ

I met this man while I was walking around. He said that Wimpy (a she) was one of three Iguana's in his household. He said that Wimpy likes to watch TV with the family. Wimpy 's skin and coloring was very pretty, but I'd find her hard to hug.

Warm, touching moment?
Not sure which of these characters looks the friendlier!

Cool shot but not my idea of a pet, but everyone to their own.

It would be too cold in UK to carry a pet round like this
And so this shot makes a great impact

Thanks Bob and Hal.
Bob, Yes, but some of the street scenes that can be witnessed in the coming month (Spring Break!) are not for publication. ;-}
Hal, That is not a jacket, it is the Iguana's skin. It looks like a woman's beaded purse. She just has a little red lead around her neck and under her arm.

Most eye-catching Cindy. l've never seen a pet like that and he obviously loves it.
l like the way the jacket leaves the spines exposed. A great shot.

Sweet, but I prefer puppies. The street scene in AZ must be
fabulously rich for photography as this marvelous shot suggests.

Thanks, Jim, Terry and Pat. Dave and I saw Iguanas like this running wild in Mexico. I never considered them for a pet. The man said that Wimpy would bite if provoked, but she seemed very loving to her owner. Her skin was like a beaded woman's purse...really quite lovely.

Well, wouldn't be my first choice, but it is touching. Great human/animal interest

Ohhhhhhhh, makes me miss my Iguana Ziggy! He was a wonderful pet and someday I'd like to get another one. I love your photo, Cindy; it really shows the closeness between the pet and her owner. Thanks for sharing!!!!
