Mount Athabasca
Icefields Parkway. Right on the border of Banff National Park and Jasper National Park
I visited here in July, but the weather was terrible, so I came back in September and the weather was much better. I was lucky enough to get one full day of totally clear skies to travel the Icefields Parkway and get as many shots as I could gather in one day. Overall, probably one of the most successful days photographically ever.
This is also another 3-image HDR shot. With such a wide dynamic range it simply could not have been captured any other way. A neutral density filter would not have been enough by itself to get all the tonal range. Like I've said before, I don't really do much HDR work, and I'm still learning how best to use the tools, so please provide your constructive comments on this image.
Thanks!
