The lights on the London Bridge (in Lake Havasu City, Arizona) were purchased along with the 1831 London Bridge and transported to LHC by ship (to California) and then 300 miles over land. These lamp posts were molded from French cannons captured during the Napoleonic wars at the battle of Waterloo.
I went to London and wondered where the bridge had gone - lol.
I guess the Brits had to move it to make way for all the artifacts being taken from Eygpt.
Nice shot and story,I had heard before but never seen it.

Somebody took a huge creative leap to bring all of this to Arizona. I wonder if there is a documentary film about it.
Aren't we glad to have that nice 35 Nokton?
The OOF areas are so smooth, yet the modern lens is razor sharp.
Beautiful color rendition.
Overall, excellent work, great presentation, Cindy.
This is some of your "really good" stuff...
Amazing history and wonderful image, Cindy! I really like the way you positioned
the melted French canons in the left foreground. Perfect!

Well England's loss was LHC's gain, and the elaborate moldings
are a better use of the metal than cannons.
This is a fascinating story and photograph Cindy,
