Peach Orchard

Shiloh, Tennessee

This cabin stood at the time of the Battle of Shiloh, April, 1862.
Numerous bullet holes are seen in the sides.
The owners, who owned the Oeach Orchard at the time of the war, fled to Corinth, Mississippi when the shooting started.
The Saturday morning the battle started, the trees were filled with bloons...

Such a beautiful old cabin, I have often dreamt of staying in a log cabin like this out in some of those big beautiful open spaces in the US or Canada, maybe some day.
This shot has a 3D feel about it, I also like the way the line of logs lead you right into the cabin. A beautiful shot Michael. I like this a lot.

It almost has a miniature feel to it. Love the processing and the image as well as the story behind it.

This is a great photo without the story. Incredible piece of history.

It is an amazing building to have stood the test of time and war. The tree next to it is very beautiful, too. This is a wonderful photo and I like your narrative, too.

A most interesting photo and story Michael.
The wooden cabin is surprisingly well preserved, for its 148+ years.
