Roman Ampitheatre

This is the best preserved Roman ampitheatre in the worl at Aspendos in Turkey. It has a capacity of 10,000.

I love these ancient theaters. I've photographed some in Israel that are very similar. Nice job on showing the expanse from a great perspective.

This is a remarkably well preserved structure. And very well presented.

Thanks for the link. It is even more impressive knowing that the diameter is 315 ft. The people in the shot give perspective, but I would have guessed it smaller.

The building on the right is part of the ampitheatre, which was built into a hill. It was used for plays and apparently even Gladiators fought there.

The place is so well preserved, loads of atmosphere.
