Rusting in the Desert

Goldfield, AZ

This hulk of a truck is one of many sitting around the ghost town, Goldfield, in the Sonoran desert. Time has brought out some interesting colors.

One day somebody will find this and see it as a restoration project, perhaps you photo will hasten that day.

Wow, what a range of rust-induced colors! This is a neat study on the effects of time on metal ;-) Cool image.

Very nice, Cindy! When I see old relics like these it causes me to pause and think about the fact that at one time this was a brand new vehicle and people bought it and probably took their friends out in it and were quite proud of their new truck. It traveled the roads, hauled stuff and now sits in an open grave yard, yet still communicating to those who are sensitive enough, like you Cindy to stop and grab some images to share. Thanks for posting!

What a fantastic shot, Cindy. The old truck looks to go back to the 1930's.
The beginning of the Throw-Away Society. Wonderful image

Ah... paradise! I love to photograph rusty old stuff. I'm always surprised by the colors and patterns that emerge.
