Santa Cruz May 19, 2018 The Navy satellite showed the stratus all but gone, here we go. But, no... Coastal stratus rolled in again, and all airports along the shoreline were under a low cover or even IFR. We heard some people circling Watsonville under the indicated 1800 feet layer, but we opted to limit ourselves to some sightseeing of the beaches and Boardwalk around Santa Cruz. In a sense, our destination became our point of departure: Palo Alto. See the Blue Trees and one of our favorite places on University Avenue. |
