Day 8 with the kids at NPH, we are all getting attached to these kids and them to us. They are already asking when we are leaving and why. It will be hard to leave them. They are so very eager to learn and to receive love. They are grateful for anything you give them. Some of them wanted to know if I was the one who had sent them the presents during Christmas. There are children that horde things as if they are afraid everything will be taken away from them again. Some still eat everything in site, no matter if they’ve just eaten lunch because they are still afraid of being hungry again. And yet through it all they laugh and play and find joy in the simplest paper windmills. They will fight over a crayon but will break a small and precious cookie in two in order to share with a friend. Through all their need what stands out in my mind is the love that permeates through NPH and the hope they now have for the future.
We went to the Malecon and performed on a ten-foot stage. The environment was filthy and full of hard hearts. But we broke through with the dances, the flags and awesome worship. Even queit Dania led three souls to the Lord. GOD IS WORKING!!!
