Change of plans…that’s called being ‘led by the spirit’ in case you weren’t informed!!
No more hard labor- time to bring healing, grace, hope, and joy to the poor. We were led to a Batay in San Pedro. We all jumped into a kind of pick up truck and taken into the back country. We went to bring clothes, shoes and most importantly the gospel to the lost. We arrived and were dispersed; some stayed in the truck to pass out clothes and others went out. Most of the community was barefoot, others naked- the conditions in which they lived were unheard of in America. It was eye-opening to say the least. As I passed out clothes from the top of the truck I observed our great Missionaries. It was awesome. Some were singing and playing with the children, others were sharing what God had put in their hearts, and others were laboring to pass out clothes to a long line of hundreds. We shared what we could and left. On our way back to civilization I couldn’t help but think of how blessed we are as a people and how little we are grateful.
We ended our day changing our sleeping locations- Campamento Buenas Nuevas was our destination. Kristy wanted us to experience where so-called real missionaries stay, Bugs everywhere.. And not just regular mosquitos.. big ones… Nothing too big to scare us though. Roll baby roll!@!
