Today as we packed our bags and got on the bus to head to the airport, I'm almost sure that I was not the only person who felt overjoyed at what the Lord did throughout our time in El Salvador. This past week was so beautiful. As I purposely took moments each day to sit back and watch the team function, I felt so grateful, so proud, so honored. I was humbled at the fact that I had the great privilege of watching the team members take on each of their roles and do them with such excellence and passion. I was constantly reminded of how the Bible states that we are one body, but many parts. Romans 12:5 says so we being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another. This team was 42 parts, but one body. The way they functioned proved that each individual member understood that although they were individuals, they were of one another. They worked harmoniously with such synchronization. They loved with no limits or boundaries. They worked tirelessly to finish the task at hand. I saw Jesus in each and every one of them. A real and living Jesus, a Jesus that would stop at nothing to go after the one lost sheep. I saw a group of people who knew His voice, and moved with sensitivity to the Holy Spirit. I saw Acts 2:42-47 right before my very own eyes.

42 They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. 43 Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. 44 All the believers were together and had everything in common. 45 They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. 46 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

I truly believe that the team in its entirety was impacted in a way that will carry into eternity. What took place in El Salvador in us and through us was nothing short of glorious. For that, I am so grateful!
