Sunday was an amazing day, Worship was great at Hogar de la Roca. Hogar de la Roca houses men who are trying to overcome addictions and giving their lives to Christ. As one of the gentlemen shared his testimony God broke me and showed me that “A life changed is worth more than Silver and Gold”, so many times back at home I have gotten caught up with life that I’ve forgotten how much more important our inner man is to God. Christ died for us because He saw more worth in us than in a temporary circumstance. Our Experience at the Potters House was an amazing one, this was the first time I saw God touch lives right before my eyes. People came up for prayer for healing and peace. God filled them and touched them. My life will never be the same after Guatemala and its only been three days. The Bible says that he who wins souls is wise and God Is working that out through us. On Sunday we took a man off the streets and placed him in Hogar de La Roca. Our Hands of God motto is “to change the world one life at a time”. I was very touched by Chris Allende’s decision to serve God in this manner, laying down his life his comfort zone for the life of another person. God says that He wants all of us, not just part of us. His lifestyle brought a question to my mind, “will you lay down your life for the sake of another life?” Like Jesus did for me! It is a challenging thought but not impossible. God has been faithful and we will continue to be throughout the trip. We have an expectancy on what God is going to do next, this is a very humbling experience that God would choose men and women like us to serve him. Amen
