This was an eye opening trip! Not like the others. And it's only after getting back that I've begun to realize what it means. We need to realize that SO many things are yet to be done in New Orleans & Louisianna that have been done elsewhere. The faith based organizations are going to have to facilitate the recovery. It's obvious that the government there has let the folks down on almost all fronts. New Orleans will recover, but it'll never be the same. But from what I've learned it would be a good thing if it wasn't the same, but seized the opportunity for change, responsible government & growth.
Humbling pictures and post but I praise God that you, Bob and Zeke were able to get down to New Orleans and do work in his name. Yes, this area has major problems, but God never puts on us more than we can handle. If God Will is to get our attention, he will do just that. I have struggled with the issue of casinos, but have come to the realization that this allowed people jobs to help them survive this ordeal...therefore I pray God has put man's mistakes to work for his good. New Orleans was a corrupt place before Katrina, but at least now this corruption can be exposed and hopefully corrected with God's help. Yes, It WILL be the faith based volunteers who will rebuild this entire area, so praise God there is now a nice permanent place to operate from inside the city. I can't wait to get down there and do great things in his name because we should all feel the need to do so. Grace and Peace that comes from the Father be with you always, Dave.

Sounds like you had a great and productive trip. Glad you are back safe and sound, I guess you are still sound??? Thanks for the pics. I know what you mean about the unfinished government funding and fixing. They have really let the people down. I do believe they do more over seas than they do here in our country. One of the reason I think this has happened is because one of the first things they rebuilt was the gambling boats. That was a big mistake with God. For the money that had to have cost, could have built many homes and businesses. We will never learn. Thanks again, Love ya, Brenda
