Four Presbyterian churches from western NC were represented in the group of 10 people. We utilized our strengths and talents to help those affected by hurricane Katrina in Bayou Le Batre, AL (Bio L' Bat ree). The devastation is amazing. We were in the demolition phase of things and they're going to need help with reconstruction for quite sometime too. We took all the paneling & sheetrock off the walls and pulled out fixtures and cabinets that were submerged by the tidal surge. God gave us the strength to help 5 families/people. We were only there a week, but we helped others during that week. We decided that God truly called this particular group of "Samaritans" together. We did good things in his name and believe his will was done through the 10 of us. And we thank him for the blessings we have that allowed us to do so.
