In November of 2005 I spent Thanksgiving in Missouri. In addition to spending time with my girlfriend's parents, family members & friends, I took in some of the glorious sights of Missouri. Included in the photos is Fulton, Missouri (my girlfriends hometown), also home to Westminster College, famous for the Winston Churchill Memorial (a cathedral). Churchill is well known for his Iron Curtain Speech an analogy to the Berlin Wall, which brought a piece of the wall to the campus. Other photos include the State Capital in Jefferson City, where we saw the Vietnam War Moving Wall Memorial. Next we visited Columbia home of the MU Tigers (University of Missouri)p.s. my girlfriends alma mater. Finally, we visited St. Louis where we saw the Gateway to the West, The Arch (standing 630 feet tall). Across the street from the Arch was the Old Court House, famous for the initial trials of the Dredd Scott case (the slave who sued for his freedom), which ultimately lead to the Civil War. Thank you to everyone for making my visit a pleasurable one. Hope to see you soon...
