This sign is actually located at the entrance of Pomona College in Claremont, CA. James A. Blaisdell was the fourth president of Pomona College and the founder of the Claremont Colleges, a consortium of five colleges and two graduate schools that was designed to offer the resources of a large university while keeping the campus small and personal.
