KAUA'I by WARREN KRUPSAW

Well, we made it: 3 weeks in Nov., more than a thousand miles driven on an island roughly 25 by 33 miles. Eight months into a drought, The Garden Island still looked pretty lush to me with many unfamiliar trees and flowers. As you can see, I made good use of my black velveteen. Views from above taken during a "doors-off" helicopter flight. All done with Canon PowerShot G-12.

Biggest surprise: Virtually NO moths! (So much for "Mothography") and very little fungi.
