#296 Grey Heron

Although it was very wet and drizzely all day, I managed to get
in a short walk at the Water of Leith. I have found this Heron
few times in these conditions when there are fewer people/dogs about.

Canon EOS 20D ,Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM
1/30s f/8.0 at 400.0mm iso400. Makeshift monopod using tripod
with one leg extended (I didnt think I would have enough time to set the tripod up fully) full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

Very Nice shot! I like the capture of the water on this one... It could have been all too tempting to try for a longer shutter speed for the flowing effect of the water but I think you've got it spot on here!
