#033 Better in the Dark

These are some of the remaining 1960's concrete monstrosities near the city centre.
Trust me, they look better in the dark.
There's not too many of these left around here, in fact they are probably in danger of being protected !

I took a slight detour on the way home form work - no tripod, just handheld at ISO 1600

Canon EOS 20D ,Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 II
1/80s f/1.8 at 50.0mm iso1600 full exif

other sizes: small medium original auto

John, this is excellent for handheld. I like the touch of blue sky.

Looks lovely with the light and dark contrast...

Wow, this is great for handheld and iso 1600. Another example of how they used to build things to make them last.

You're right, they do look much better in the dark.

Like the soft green lights on the bottom windows.

I love the lines of lights. Very abstruct looking and great captured. I also like the closer look at the front windows. Beautiful.

They might become listed buildings like the Trellick Tower in London.

Used to work in Argyle House 1970 - 1979, say no more.

Need to keep them for sure (well, maybe not New St Andrew's House) - to warn us not to make the same mistakes again!
